    In their own way

    Stories from people we've helped

Shared with permission, in our own words. Names and identifying details are left out to protect privacy. Every situation is different, and a past outcome does not promise a future one.

He told us it was the first time he had felt truly listened to.

An employee of a local council, Bedfordshire

    The situation
Living with a health condition that stopped him doing his job, he felt his employer was not listening or offering support.
    What we did
We went through every document with him, helped him put his position to his employer clearly in writing, and supported him as he prepared for and attended his hearing. The outcome was positive.
    Afterwards
He has since recommended us to four other people.

They told us how relieved they were, and that our approach felt human, caring and humble.

    A store manager, Bedfordshire

    The situation
A supermarket store manager was suspended after an allegation at work.
    What we did
We listened, helped them understand the process and prepare their response, and supported them at the disciplinary hearing, which ended positively.
    Afterwards
They came to see us in person to say thank you.

She said it felt like winning the lottery, simply to have people who listened and treated her as a person.

    A mother, London

    The situation
A mother facing a distressing family court matter concerning her child.
    What we did
We listened, helped her gather and understand her paperwork, and stayed beside her as she presented her own case. It was emotionally demanding, and the outcome was favourable for her.
    Afterwards
She has recommended us to others.
