    Priority consultation

If you have a letter or deadline on your mind, tell us and we will look at your request as a priority. We aim to reply by the next working day.

    Deadline triage

Today or tomorrow: Ask the sender for more time, then contact a free advice line; Within about 14 days: Ask for priority; we will say whether we can help in time; Later: Arrange a free introductory conversation

    When to ask for priority

    • A deadline within about 14 days
    • A hearing date coming up soon
    • A notice from your landlord
    • A benefit decision, where you usually have one month to ask for it to be looked at again

    What to send

Please do not send physical copies of documents. Once we have agreed how to share them, send digital scanned copies instead.

    • A digital scanned copy of the letter or form
    • The date on it
    • Any reference number
    • One line on what you need

    What happens next

Billy or Pravesh will tell you honestly whether we can help in the time available. If we can't, we'll say so and point you to free help.

If the deadline is today or tomorrow

Contact the organisation that sent the letter and ask for more time. Then call one of these free lines.
