Personal support
Employment tribunal support
If things have gone wrong at work, we help you get your timeline, emails and paperwork in order, so you can take the next step with a clear head.
You stay in charge of your case. We work from your instructions.
Free introductory consultation — 15 to 30 minutes. This is a request; Billy or Pravesh will ring you to agree a time. No obligation to proceed.

Time limits changed on 1 October 2026
Time limits matter more than anything else here, so please read this part first.
Working out your own deadline can be tricky, especially if things happened over a period of time. Please check it with Acas as soon as possible. We can note the dates you give us, but we cannot confirm your deadline.
Step one is usually Acas
Before you can make a claim, you must normally notify Acas for early conciliation. Acas is free and impartial.
How we help
Support can be agreed for one task or a series of steps.
- Writing a timeline of events from your account
- Organising emails, payslips, contracts and other documents
- Preparing your ET1 form information in your own words
- Organising correspondence relating to Acas early conciliation
- Building an indexed, page-numbered bundle
- Typing your witness statement in your own words
- Recording tribunal directions and dates you give us in a checklist
- Preparing hearing notes and sitting with you where the tribunal allows
What to gather before we meet
Gather what you have, even if it feels muddled. Sorting it is part of what we do.
Please do not send physical copies of documents. Once we have agreed how to share them, send digital scanned copies instead.
- Your contract or offer letter, and any staff handbook
- Payslips
- Emails, letters and messages with your employer
- Notes of meetings, and any grievance or disciplinary papers
- Your Acas early conciliation details, if you have them
- A rough list of dates, as best you remember them
At the hearing
We can sit beside you, take notes and quietly help you keep your papers in order, where the tribunal allows. Each tribunal has its own rules about hearing support.
We help you organise and prepare your own tribunal paperwork. We are not a law firm and do not act for you in the tribunal. Each tribunal has its own rules about who may accompany or help you at a hearing, so please check the tribunal's guidance or ask the tribunal office. You remain responsible for your case and its deadlines.
Pravesh Rajdev, an experienced McKenzie Friend with more than 20 years of hands-on experience, can help you organise your paperwork and prepare calmly for what comes next.
What we don't do
- We don't advise on the strength of your claim or what a settlement is worth.
- We don't negotiate with your employer or Acas for you.
- We don't choose legal grounds or arguments for your ET1.
- We will never act for both sides.

Common questions
Can you help with the ET1 form?
We can help type and organise the information you choose to include. We do not select legal grounds, assess prospects or advise on what you should argue. Seek regulated legal advice for those decisions.
What about Acas early conciliation?
We can organise your correspondence and prepare factual notes from your account. Acas provides free, impartial information and early conciliation. We do not advise on settlement terms or negotiate legal rights.
